Master drum-builder Johnny Craviotto has been handcrafting solid-shell wood drums for decades. In 2007, Johnny Craviotto set out to create a snare drum that had not graced the drumming community since the 1920’s. He wanted to incorporate old-world heritage while embracing the high standards of Craviotto quality. In partnership with Adrian Kirchler of AK Drums / Italy, Johnny and AK teamed up to offer a one-of-a-kind handcrafted brass-shell snare drum, called “The Diamond Series”. In 2009, Johnny Craviotto and AK have teamed up for a second time, to offer a handcrafted solid COPPER snare drum. This exceptional COPPER snare drum is finished with Craviotto’s signature nickel-plated hardware, and NEW Craviotto/AK Diamond Three-Point Vintage Strainer.

The 2009 Craviotto/AK COPPER Diamond Series provides a dark, warm tone with unsurpassed sensitivity; while providing the cut and clarity that made the original Craviotto/AK Diamond Series Snare Drum, one of the most sought-after snare drums in history.

Offered in sizes 5.5 x 14 & 6.5 x 14

Craviotto Drum Company will offer a limited number of these exceptional COPPER snare drums. Only (50) of the 5.5 x 14” and (50) of the 6.5 x 14” COPPER Diamond Series Snare Drums will be produced. Each drum will have its individual number engraved inside each shell. Finished as solid COPPER with nickel hardware, Craviotto’s signature hand-engraved N.O.B. diamond-badge is placed “raised” off of the COPPER shell, adding to the unique characteristic’s of this exceptional snare drum.
